    Facts at a Glance About Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy:

    (This attraction will be closing permanently October 7th, 2024)

    Park: Hollywood Studios Location: Sunset Boulevard. Height Requirement: None. Lightning Lane Multi Pass: No. Lightning Lane Single Pass: No. 
    Quick Notes: Original video hosted by Lightning McQueen and friends. Lightning makes a personal appearance  as an audio-animatronic. 
    Disney Warnings: None
    Our Additional Cautions: Smoke effect on stage, loud noise, multiple lighting effects including flashing/flickering lights, loud noises.
    Length: The show is approximately 10 minutes.
    Special Needs & other info: You can remain in your wheelchair, scooter or ECV. 

    Overview of Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at Disney World Hollywood Studios

    Lightning McQueen and his friends teach you how to race effectively. His friends show up, some making a bit of trouble. Mater shares “The Untold Story That Ain’t Yet Been Told”. This is original animated video with music, racing and animation. It’s all shown on a huge 17-foot-tall wraparound screen that’s more than 200 feet wide. Lightning McQueen himself appears on stage in the front of the theater as an audio-animatronic.

    The queue is outdoors. Guests walk into the doors and right into the theater.

    The seats are hard bench seats with no backs. There are no stairs.

    Wheelchair/ECV and accessibility information: Guests can stay in their wheelchairs and ECVs.
