Make Other Plans (Plane, Rental Car, babysitting, etc) for Disney World

What other plans do you need to make when planning your Disney World trip?

Once you’ve made your resort reservations, it’s time to make the rest of your travel plans such as transportation, babysitting, pet care, etc. We’ll go into what you need to consider.

TIP: Before securing any transportation such as flights, if you require Park Reservations, first make sure they’re available during your stay. Certain people are exempt. Check out the Park Reservation article to determine if you’ll be needing park reservations. If not, you may want to change your travel/resort reservation dates.

Here are some of the things you’ll want to know to plan the rest of your Disney trip non-resort reservations:

    1. Are you flying to Disney World?

It’s time to make your flight reservations. You may want to check out this excellent, really informative guide on mousesavers.com. It has a lot of great info such as:

    • Which airport to use
    • How to find the lowest fares
    • Package deals
    • Extra baggage charges and how to avoid them
    • and more…

Here’s the article: Airfare Discounts for Disney Vacations on MouseSavers.com

    2. Do you need to rent a car while you’re in Orlando?

Many people are unsure about whether they need a car while at Disney World. If you’re not sure, check out our article:

Article: Do You Need to Rent a Car While You’re at Disney?

This should help you decide on transportation. It includes information on what free transportation you can expect on Disney property, and other forms of transportation you can use for a fee, such as Uber and Taxi services. It includes basic pricing information.

    3. Do you have any special health needs that require planning?

If so, now’s the time to check on area resources and gather information. Read our section:

Article: Planning Your Disney Trip with Extra Challenges.

    4. Do you need a babysitter or mother’s helper? How about senior care?

Again, now’s the time to secure your help. Check out this article:

Article: Babysitting, Child Care, Mother’s Helpers & Senior Care

    5. Do you need a pet sitter?

If you’re bringing an animal and need either pet sitting or a pet hotel, you’ll want to consider using either Rover.com or Best Friends Pet Hotel. You’ll need reservations for either you choose to use. Whether or not you’re staying at a Disney World Resort, read the section on these two services in this article: Disney World Resorts That Allow Pet Dogs.
